Recent Finds: Basic Tees

I hope you’re having a wonderful week. It’s finally warming up outside + it has me so excited to start wearing short sleeve tees again and happily leaving my coat at home! I’ve been on the search for some good basic short sleeve tees for spring and summer and am sharing my favorites today as part of my “Recent Finds” series.

A "Recent Find" will always be something that I've actually purchased myself and either can't wait to wear or have already been wearing and loving for weeks.
White V-Neck Tee
I had been hearing about these Madewell tees for so long and decided it was time to try them for myself! Well, I now know what all the fuss was all about! It’s very versatile becuase the mid length and the not-too-tight, not-too-loose fit allow it to be worn alone or layered under a jacket without any extra bulk. The sleeves length is great because it doesn’t need to be rolled. The v neck is just the right length without being too low. And the white color is opaque enough you don’t need a tank underneath. I’m definitely planning on ordering more colors soon, especially this stripped version.
Black + White Striped V-Neck Tee
I’m a sucker for a good striped tee + this Universal Thread one from Target caught my eye right away. I love the looser fit + the v-neck and pocket details. The sleeve are a bit baggy, so I rolled them like I showed in this recent post, and it worked pretty well. It does stretch out a bit as you wear it, but it wasn’t enough to bother me. And it’s a steal for only $8!
Crewneck Skinny Striped Tee
The Gap was one of the favorite places to get maternity tees when I was pregnant, so I recently decided to try their non-maternity tees as well. And I'm so glad I did, because I found my new favorites! This tee is the perfect “fitted” tee that still leaves room for the accidental tuck and layers wonderfully. I love the bold neckline and skinny black stripe pattern of thus version.
Crewneck Grey Tee
This is the same tee as the crewneck striped tee just in a classic grey color. Any of these tees would be a great addition to your momiform wardrobe.
