How to Refresh Your Style for 2019

It’s the New Year! And there’s no better time to seize the day & start living your absolute best life than right now… not because it’s the new year, but because you’re worth it!

From fitness resolutions to less screen time to weekly date nights with your hubby, there’s one thing that ALL of your New Year’s resolutions have in common: YOU! You’re showing up every.single.day as the best version of yourself & striving to live your best life one decision at a time.

When you resist the urge to hit snooze and decide to hop out of bed and get your workout in before the kiddos wake up… When you blend up your green smoothie instead of grabbing for those all-too-familiar donuts… And when you decide to put your phone away and hold your husband’s hand as you walk down the aisles of Target instead…

All of this starts with the FIRST decision you make every.single.day when you decide what to wear — ok, maybe your first decision is to roll out of bed and walk to the bathroom, but you get the idea.

Style is so much more than movies and magazines make you believe… it’s not about pretty clothing or getting compliments.

Style is about who you are & how you show up in the world. It's about how you carry yourself and how that presence makes other people feel.

Style is the first decision you make everyday - when you decide what to wear - to either show up as the best version of yourself or some lesser version of yourself.

For 2019, I want you to show up as BEST version of yourself… for yourself, for your kiddos, for your hubby, and for the beautiful gift that you are to the world.

That’s why I’m sharing 3 Easy Steps to Refresh Your Style for 2019, so you can go into the New Year feeling authentically confident & effortlessly chic (without spending hours in front of your bathroom mirror everyday — because you’ve got more important adventures to be had!)

3 Ways to Refresh Your Style for 2019

#1 Get Inspired!

Instagram, Pinterest, that little old lady dressed to the nines in the front row of church… inspiration is literally everywhere these days! Next time you get 5 minutes alone (like your carefully planned bathroom break/I-just-need-a-minute-without-little-people-pulling-on-my-arm break), scroll through and save your fav OOTD pics on Instagram or pin to your heart’s desire to get those creative juices flowing and inspire your next outfit.

#2 Clean Out That Closet

Out with the old, outdated, and never-going-to-be-worn-again & in with the new, authentic, and effortlessly chic style you’ve been longing to have. A good half-day closet clean out may be quite cathartic and super satisfying, but it can also be extremely overwhelming (not to mention almost impossible to find the time to do!) Take it in baby steps… take an extra 10 minutes before binge-watching your current Netflix obsession each night this week & just piece through your closet one section at a time. Plus, it’ll be way more satisfying to plop down in bed & turn the tv on after you’ve made some closet clean out progress.

#3 Play With Accessories

A new year doesn’t necessarily mean a whole new budget to spend on endless amounts of clothing, but that doesn’t mean you can’t refresh your style! Accessories are the single greatest way to update your entire wardrobe for a fraction of the cost. From bandana scarves to bold statement earrings, a simple accessory can elevate an entire outfit and have you feeling like a whole new woman. Have a little fun with it & step outside your comfort zone… because you never know, it just might become your new favorite!
