3 Cute & Casual Postpartum Outfits to Wear with a Graphic Tee
When it comes to dressing your body post pregnancy, it’s like a whole new world of trying to figure out what to where, how to get dressed in less than 10 minutes before the baby wakes up, and try to feel put together when you’re running on minimal hours of sleep. After having two babies in less than three years, I’ve learned a thing or two about how to put together a postpartum outfit that actually looks & feels good! After my first baby was born, I put off buying any new clothes for wayyy too long, so this time around I invested in a few key pieces to make me feel like “me” again & it made a huge difference! Enter: the graphic tee.
Graphic tee outfits have been my go-to new mama uniform these past 4 months since having my baby girl. Graphic tee, what? I know, it may sound totally weird, but hang in there for a minute & let me tell you why the graphic tee is the perfect outfit to wear in your postpartum style. You never know, it just might become your new go-to postpartum outfit, too! Here’s 3 cute & casual graphic tee outfits to wear postpartum & why…
3 Cute & Casual Postpartum Outfits to Wear with a Graphic Tee
#1 The Basic Outfit: Graphic Tee + Jeans
As a new mama you don’t always have time to add jewelry, that’s what makes a graphic tee the perfect postpartum outfit! Simply throw on a graphic tee & jeans and you have a complete outfit. The graphic design of the tee does all the heavy lifting, so you don’t even need to add any accessories. It might not be super fancy, but it sure beats the heck out of the sweatpants you were about to put on, amiright?
STYLE TIP: Buy your graphic tee ONE size bigger than your typical size to give you a looser, more flattering fit & help camouflage any postpartum belly bloating you have while you recover (even if it’s been months since you gave birth!)
FALL & SPRING STYLE TIP: Throw on a lightweight jacket or flannel button down to take your basic graphic tee + jeans outfit to the next level! (pictured below)
#2 The Tomboy Outfit: Graphic Tee + Baseball Hat
A graphic tee already has that “tomboy vibe” going for it, so adding a baseball hat is an easy way to take this casual outfit up a notch without too much extra effort on your part. Are you a big Mickey Mouse fan or love the Jurassic Park movies? Show it off with a graphic tee & let your personality come out to play a little.
STYLE TIP: Roll your sleeves up & front tuck your tee to give it that “I-woke-up-like-this” vibe but still feel polished & pulled-together.
#3 The Girlie Outfit: Graphic Tee + Headband
Opposites attract & this outfit is the perfect example… Pair the masculine edge of a graphic tee + the girlie feel of a headband & this outfit is sure to keep your postpartum style feeling fun & fresh!
STYLE TIP: Don’t forget to shop the men’s section for your fav graphic tees, too… I’ve found some of my FAV graphic tees in the men’s sections of Target, Old Navy & H&M!
Maintain a sense of your pre-pregnancy style & personality by picking a tee that represents something about YOU!
As a new mama, everything in your life all of a sudden revolves around that precious little baby, and sometimes that can make us feel like we’ve “lost ourselves” in the craziness of new motherhood. So I find wearing a graphic tee that reminds me of something I loved before I became a mama helps me feel a little more like “me,” while also allowing me to grow into a newer, better version of myself as a new mama all at the same time!
